Description : Join our e-LIS Instructional Designers to learn how you can effectively and mindfully incorporate AI tools into your teaching in this new AI Sandbox Series! Drop-in or attend online for any of our new HyFlex workshops, each featuring a quick demonstration of a different concept or practice, followed by hands-on work time for you to try out the concepts yourself. Description : A 2024 update to the regulations for Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) clarifies the scope and timeline for digital accessibility compliance at public universities. These new federal regulations established a compliance deadline of April 2026. This update requires that faculty and staff ensure accurate and fully accessible materials in Moodle and eSpace. This workshop will demonstrate the necessary steps to make your materials compliant. The workshop will also feature our eSpace: Digital Accessibility - Title II Compliance, which guides participants through the steps of establishing a compliant Moodle course page, documents, and multimedia. Semester Transition Extravaganza

Description : Come to the 4th floor of the library to work on your semester wrap-up and next semester's course transition. Both e-LIS and CETL will be present to assist. While you are here, save tons of time by double-checking your grade book setup and learning how to quickly export your Moodle grades into Banner (SAIL). Being proactive doesn't stop there - we can also help you import your course into your future semester course, and utilize the Moodle SpeedDater to quickly update your assignment and quiz due dates for next semester, and general semester prep like syllabus updates. Drop in on this hands-on lab in order to have a procrastination-free break!

Classroom Technology for HyFlex Classes

Description : eLIS delivers this faculty workshop to demonstrate best practices for HyFlex classes. The workshop will take place in one of the classrooms setup as "Grizzflex." Even if you do not teach in a classroom outfitted with extra cameras and mics like the Grizzflex classrooms, there will still be information and best practices to make best use of the classrooms you are teaching. Description : How do your students know what's happening each week? Do you send an announcement, or tell them to check the syllabus? What if you made them a weekly welcome / overview page that explained exactly which topics you'll be covering and what students have to do. In this hands-on workshop, you'll build your own Moodle Page with a week's learning objectives, a to-do list for assignments, and other useful reminders to help students feel confident going into each week. Description : Benefits & Strategies for a Properly Setup Moodle Gradebook: Have you ever been confused setting up your gradebook in Moodle? Are your students asking you to put your grades in Moodle and you aren't sure how to do it? Have you never used the Moodle gradebook because it seems too complicated? Are you an experienced Moodle gradebook user curious to learn more about this powerful feature? This workshop is designed to give you the knowledge to construct your gradebook confidently in Moodle. Learn how to create weighted or non-weighed gradebooks and how you can simplify the gradebook for you and your students.

Description : (Teaching Presence) In online classes, some students may feel isolated and mention a lack of human connection. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies to create and build community in your online classes so all of your students can shine. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to foster different types of interactions in your online class and begin to build a strong community where your students can succeed.

Creating Video Content with Zoom and YouTube

Description : Using Zoom and YouTube, faculty and staff are able to quickly and easily create videos and store them for long-term use. In this workshop, we will discuss and demonstrate the steps to make a Zoom cloud recording and then upload your video file to YouTube. Participants will also learn about some basic YouTube settings and how to share videos with others.
